Summary0010255: Holding down should not limit jump height.
DescriptionI noticed holding down and trying to jump seems to result in a lower jump.

Since the game has 4-way aiming now, this make trying to kill enemies downhill from you rather awkward.

Unless I'm missing something this should probably be changed.

With the new controls, is this still an issue?

Not as much. It's still tricky to jump and shoot down well, but you don't really need to as much with the new controls.

It would probably still benefit from a fix, but now it's not that important anymore.

I've found if you hold down while jumping, or shortly after jumping it still really limits your height as of 0.714.

I like the idea of holding down not reducing jump height. Often times, when I am trying to limit jump height, I just don't press the button for jump overly hard.

Also, remember to vote on things you support! It would allow the devs greater visibility if more reporters were active in the vote tallies. Voting takes place directly beneath the "Add Note" button for those who didn't know.

Hasn't really affected me too much, but seems a little bit like a bug to me. As Isil says you can limit jump height by simply tapping jump so I don't see any benefit in the current behaviour.

Thanks!

* Previously, holding the down button while jumping would cause you to jump lower -- these "low jumps" from the first game were actually a feature, but given the way aiming works now that's no longer a desirable one. Plus, it's plenty possible in this game to do low jumps simply by tapping the jump button less, given the revised physics here compared to the first game. Fixed.
