Summary0010708: Tier 4 Spell Balance Report part 2
DescriptionClasses Tested: (Meteor)ist, (Pluvi)cian,(Hurri)canist, (Sun)binder, (Slag)ician

Primaries

Meteor primary is a triple shot. Something seems to have gone wrong with this spell. Shooting vertically produces a warped spread pattern. Also, has the
placement of these shots been changed recently as it seems to shoot from above the characters head now.
Pluvi primary is a slowish moving drone. Seems OK. The bullets are a little small, though, I find it a little hard to see.
Hurri primary is a typical slider shot. Again the high caliber might be a touch too high.
Sun primary is a ricochet shot. Seems fine.
Slag primary is a cleft shot. Much like the other split shots seems overpowered in term of DPS. Dominates most primaries.

Usability Scores:

Meteor: C
Pluvi : B (scrapes a B)
Hurri : A (scrapes an A due to high caliber)
Sun : B
Slag : A (too much DPS)

Something is hideously wrong with the Meteor primary while shooting vertically. The spread is all wrong. Seems to shoot from over your head too.

Hurri caliber should maybe be lowered a little.

Slag primary like most split shots is overpowered. Shoots both ways and does more DPS than a primary.

Secondaries

Meteor secondary is a typical whip attack. Seems fine.
Pluvi secondary is a typical jetpack attack. Seems fine.
Hurri secondary is a typical whip attack. Worse than meteor one due to less caliber and projectile speed with only a minimal power boost to compensate.
Sun secondary is a typical touch attack. Fine.
Slag secondary is a typical snake shot. Always useful.

Usability Scores:

Meteor: B
Pluvi : B
Hurri : B (scrapes a b, close to C though)
Sun : B
Slag : B

Fine these. I would bump the Hurri damage a little more though to offset it's 20 less caliber over the Meteor variant.

Specials

Meteor special is a launch attack, however the range on this is terrible compared to the other launch attacks I've tried. Not sure if that's intended or a bug.
Pluvi special is a fusillade shot. Seems fine thanks to the recent revamp.
Hurri special is one of those boomerang type things. Hard to rate these. The DPS is low but the piercing and boomerang effect seems handy.
Sun special is sine shot. Fine.
Slag special is a trident whip attack. Since it classes as melee it's fine. Aiming down diagonal produces two whips rather than three. Just a quirk.

Usability Scores:

Meteor : C
Pluvi : B
Hurri : B (with reservations, need more testing with these type spells)
Sun : B
Slag : B

Only real problem here is that the range on the Meteor spell is not what I would associate with a typical launch attack. Can be used defensively due to high caliber though.

Ammo attacks

Meteor ammo attack is a typical AOE spell. Low cost of 5 is nice.
Pluv ammo attack is an AOE attack. Even though the power is listed as half that of the Meteor one, it seems to consistently do double the damage (on the
regen tree at least). Damage output is inconsistent on the regen tree, sometimes does 6000, usually does 2000ish.
Hurri ammo attack is a large AOE attack. Pretty weak for damage dealing although wide AOE and low cost make it alright.
Sun ammo attack is a wrecking ball type. Ammo cost a bit high at 12 maybe, but it's OK.
Slag ammo attack is a multi-projectile one. Costs 10. Seems fine.

Usability scores

Meteor: B
Pluv : A (if figures on regen tree are correct gotta go A for this in terms of power versus cost)
Hurri : B
Sun : C (nearly B)
Slag : B

No major problems here. A bit worried about the cheesability of the Pluv one, though.

Overall Class Scores

Meteor: 14 B
Pluv : 17 A
Hurri : 17 A
Sun : 15 B
Slag : 17 A

Not too bad these classes. The major standout bug is the spread while firing vertically on the Meteor primary.

Hurri primary is one of those sliding shots with a high caliber. Slight nerf to caliber probably.

Slag primary is also overpowered in terms of DPS like most cleft shots.

Meteor launch attack might be bugged or maybe it's intended, but it's range is not the same as the other launch spells I've tested.

That's the Tier 4 spells tested then!
