Summary0002516: Blade Spawner + Cloaker Starship = Overpowered?
DescriptionCurrently it is possible to sit a large number of blade spawners under a cloaker starship at the edge of a system and just allow the bladelings to slowly kill everything in the system that isn't immune to blades.

Ironically enough the only mitigating factor to this strategy is foolishness on the part of the spawners themselves - if something gets too close to them they open fire on it and lose their cloaking.

Which is actually a seperate issue as Blade Spawners on FRD get themselves killed more often than they should, especially since Bladelings now have a system-wide range.

Suggestion: Remove all guns from the Blade Spawners, and have spawning a Bladeling count as "attacking" for the purposes of ruining cloak.

Been meaning to do this:

* All starships, spirecraft, guardians, and other major weapons are now immune to being cloaked by a cloaker starship or an AI planetary cloaker.
** Additionally, blade spawners also have this immunity.

Wow, fast response. Any chance of also de-arming the blade spawners? Their guns really serve no useful purpose...

I like the fact that they have secondary guns -- they do help out a small bit at close range.

A quite meh decision.
1. This destroy's a lot of player tactic's which decrease playing variety (I only unlocked cloaker starship so i would cloak my starship's).
2. I didn't played against completely cloaked planets. But showing guardians will show there are guard post's.

Also you could make that player's couldn't cloak transports because i could hide starship's in the transports.

But they mean that on FRD, the blade spawners run into the middle of battle and get themselves killed instead staying clear and letting their bladelings do the fighting. Having guns actually ~reduces~ their damage over time when they are on FRD.

EDIT: And since they are a military ship, they are impossible to take out of FRD without constant micro if you use auto-FRD. And Auto-FRD isn't worth turning off just for them...

Okay, I'm sold on both. Ignore the above change, it's now:

* All spire blade spawners are now immune to being cloaked by a cloaker starship or an AI planetary cloaker.

* Spire blade spawners also no longer have direct guns.
