Summary0002608: Threat not shown before spontainously appearing on reload
DescriptionMy guess is what I was running into in the related issue. Guard posts killed on planets humans are nowhere near may not free guards until a reload. Pretty much the only minor faction that can induce this behavior how are Dyson gatlings and marauders.

Attached is a save from when I got hit with this bug, plus a few saves before. And this time, I am providing a raw copy of them, unlike last time when I opened them up and re-saved them right after.

Thanks to a similar "death not triggering" issue brought up in comment 0003077:0011235, and per the discussion in a few following comments, it was suggested that this issue might have something to do with how things in cold-storage are processed (or in this case, not getting processed). Just one possible thing to look at.

I suspect that will be fixed by this:

* Previously, if there were fewer than 30 enemy-to-the-AI ships and none of them were both uncloaked and had attack strength of 0, then the planet was incorrectly being put into cold storage. Now it's only in cold storage if there are fewer than 30 enemy-to-the-AI ships and all of them have full cloaking, which was the intended logic from the start.
** This should fix some issues with the devourer golem not really doing its thing, and in general some minor faction issues in general.

YES!!! I KNEW I WAS NOT CRAZY!!

Sorry, but these "threat not coming until load or you look at the planet" thing has been bugging me for quite some, and I'm happy its finally fixed.

I'll let you know if I come across this "limbo until looked at or on reload" threat type issues again.

(Ooh, Schrödinger's threat, one possible name for this bug :D)
