I'm not actually able to reproduce this; I'm trying: 1) Load a game. 2) Press Escape. 3) Click Settings. 4) Click Cancel. 5) Press Escape. No spells are going off during that. |

Well, it was your wife who reported it, so maybe it's something with her machine. :) I have not seen it either. Try moving the cursor out of the settings window when you cancel it, maybe that will do it. It was often oddities like that. |

In the meantime it must be pretty rare, so I'm bumping it down in priority. |

Just checked with her, she said that was a while ago and while she hasn't checked she did see something in some of the release notes that would indicate it's handled. |

Hmmm, ok. Well, I fixed some other unrelated stuff, and would not have thought it would have fixed this, but nobody has seen it in a long while so I guess we'll presume it's fixed until someone tells us otherwise. Now that you can't accidentally fry your NPCs, it's a very minor issue, anyhow. |
