Maybe better for this to be a spell scroll, cause then it uses up more scarce resources than mana, and you have to research making it. |

I like the idea of this being a scroll. |

Definitely like this idea - I would suggest not making it available until Civ level 20 or so, otherwise we'd never gain the on-foot exploring skills. |
