DescriptionI haven't been able to repeat this (it's hard to set up to try), but:

I was trying to get to the red window in this dungeon map (SS attached). I got to the top by way of platforms, and from the position I'm at now I attempted to jump to the next crate to the left. I missed and fell through the gap.

On my way falling down, I hit the jump key again out of frustration, and much to my surprise... My character in mid-fall jumped and headed back up again (briefly, as per a usual jump).

REPEATABLE!

If while falling, you switch direction that you're facing/falling, you can then JUMP!

I have also re-confirmed that I can do this without switching direction at least once, but it seems harder to repeat.

I'd like it more if it were repeatable.

But it feels like "double jump" in platformers (or Lego games) which I always found... implausible. :)

Well, it IS a game...

I just don't love things that make me remember it's a game while I'm enjoying it. Break me out of the illusion, etc.

It's quite possible that Chris did not intend this behavior, so it's just a matter of him seeing this and getting out the axe.

Going to check this save out now. But, I will say this: if you haven't already jumped, this is the intended behavior. I can't duplicate having the direction change matter at all.

What should matter is if you actually jumped in the first place to get to falling. If you just fall, then you still have a jump left and can jump in the air -- this is very much intended. If you jumped to get to falling, and then try to jump again, the only way THAT should work is if you use ride the lightning.
