Summary0004393: Warp to the lowest node from the same node in an indoor area blackens screen
DescriptionCurrently if you warp from the 'edge' areas in the outdoor areas while you are at that are you will be transported back to the overworld. While doing this the screen gets black but I am still able to see the HUD before I am finally transported out.

Doing the same thing in an indoor area blackens screen but I won't be transported to the overworld. Finding a door and changing are fixed this problem, but it was quite hard since I did not see anything except my HUD and the healthbars of the enemies.

Do you have a savegame to demonstrate? Are you literally talking about a warp spell, or...? I'm a little unclear as to what is actually happening.

Sorry for being unclear :P

That's what happens if I warp to the same area I am in. Everything except the HUD goes black.

It is fixed by either reloading or go to another area. If you are outdoor and do this, you will end up at the edge so you just have to walk riggt to exit to the overworld and thus reloading the graphics.

Doing this indoors will warp you to the right in the room, and it will be very hard to find a door to change area. You can just warp out if it I guess, but only if you have visited any other rooms.

No problem

English not being my main language and having very tired eyelids is not a good combination. ;)

Thanks!

* There was an issue with warping to the current chunk if the current chunk was not a surface ground level chunk (which shouldn't have been allowed anyway). Fixed it so that you can't warp to the current chunk in those circumstances.

Not a worry at all. I have the second problem, too, which also does not help. ;)

Go have a nice relaxing weekend, Chris. Come back all refreshed and chipper on Monday. (Improving AVWW for 18 hours a day *is* relaxing, right?)

I got a bit more to go, then mostly I'm off for the weekend, yeah -- cheers!

This still seems to be an issue if you warp within the same surface chunk.

Going to reopen this, since I had opened that duplicate but it was closed, as a dupe, but then this one still showed resolved. If this has been fixed for the next version, sorry, but I didn't see a note about it anywhere. It is still happening to me as of .513

Had this issue in 0.518 as well, so thought I'd give it a bump. Happened in a surface chunk where I was attacking some minibosses, pulling them to the far exit of the chunk, then warping back to the start where I could barrage them or exit as needed. Almost felt I deserved the black screen of shame for doing such a thing.
