Summary0004712: Ride the Lightning toggle
DescriptionNow that Ride the Lightning can't be disable unless dropped, I was thinking it might work to have a toggle for it.

I don't see much of a point to being able to directly activate it anyways, so activating it could be used to toggle instead. Not that there is much of a reason to deactivate it though. Hmm... this is sounding worse by the moment.

Then again, a toggle could also be of use if there are ever any skills added that would work well as toggles. Maybe even a levitation skill that drains magic while toggled on? Even if it had a maximum time limit for balance reasons.

But I digress. Point is, a toggle could be useful at times for Ride the Lightning, and also for future uses.

Nope. Here's the quote from the release notes:
"Ride The Lightning is now automatically applied from anywhere in your inventory, not just your active bar, when you double jump.
This means that the only way to disable it is to drop it from your inventory, but that seems preferable at this point to always taking up a main ability bar slot with this."

Ah yes! I see. I was looking at an old version of the release notes.

I see where you're coming from with the toggle but I think you hit the nail on the head: why would you ever NOT want to use it, if you have it?

How about not making it able to toggle, but create active/inactive inventory lines.

Right now you can switch between inventory lines with R, I only use 2 of the inventory lines regularily, the rest of them are for pure storage reasons.

How about making a (configurable) amount of "active" inventory lines (where "Ride the Lightning" then would still work), and "inactive" inventory lines when you want to disable things (this maybe would work out with automatic potion use too, if you don't want some potions automatically used).
