| Description | The will-o'-the-wisp shown in the screenshot was immobilizing my character and causing melee damage, but my spells (even sliding spells) were not able to hit it. After saving and reloading, the will-o'-the-wisp appeared in a different location where I could cause damage to it, but had this not happened it would have resulted in the certain death of my character. | ||||

Wait, the wisp was meleeing you from the distance shown in the screenshot? That's a pretty long distance. Or what exactly was happening? Out of curiosity, did you try using mouse targeting to drop some crates on it to displace it? |

The message log, which unfortunately wasn't visible in the screenshot, was showing that I was taking a large amount of damage from the wisp. I didn't think of using crates. I have since started using Lesser/Greater Teleport, depending on my character's mana, to get out of bad situations with wisps (although this particular situation hasn't come up since then), but I'm not convinced that "teleport is the answer to everything" is good gameplay. |
