Summary0008714: Simplifying health/mana/attack upgrades
DescriptionJust to be clear, I'm talking about the three kinds of upgrades which increase your health, mana, or attack; vary in levels 1-9; and the ones you have equipped can not exceed a combined value of 10 (or sometimes, 12).

I suggest that these upgrades be free, disappear when dropped, and be only droppable when you're in a "home town" (within the protection of guardian stones.

* Making them free encourages players to experiment and play around with different h/m/a upgrade combinations (since having a cost, albeit a small one, makes players think twice before acquiring an upgrade).

* By disappearing when they're dropped, you eliminate the clutter caused by covering the ground with h/m/a upgrades that don't disappear. And if they're free to buy, there's no reason for these dropped upgrades to exist after they're dropped, since you can just get new ones for free.

* Players might assume that these upgrades will endure when they're dropped, try dropping them in the middle of a hostile map, and unpleasantly discover that instead they've disappeared. To prevent this from happening, h/m/a upgrades should only be droppable within "home towns". (In return, to prevent players from then thinking that these upgrades are /totally/ undroppable: when trying to drop these in a hostile map, they can get a warning message basically saying 'h/m/a upgrades are only droppable in home towns'.)

I can think of some other ways to simplify h/m/a upgrades, but I think this way is the least confusing for players who jump straight into the game, who don't read changelogs.
