Summary0009294: Option to supress the energy use of a ship when low energy.
DescriptionI'm currently running an energy balance of 1,000 so I am getting the low energy warning.

I'm currently working on capturing a system to increase my energy production but it is going to be probably 30 minutes to do so.

I'm using a starship fleet so my view is filled with yellow "4,000" from all the starships I'm controlling and I can't see anything else.

With putting ships in low-powered mode no longer decreasing their energy usage do we still need this warning?

I would think the "Low Power" warning at the top should be sufficient.

At least, an option to hide it, because of the black box that gets drawn as the text background I can't actually see my starships at most zoom levels.

"Low power" no longer costs "less power."

And if you're that short on power, build a Matter Collector, or whatever it's called. 50k energy.

Umm, I'm not short on power, that's the point of this report.

...which on re-reading my initial report I apparently forgot to mention.

My fleet is already maxed and I have no need for any more energy.

Because I could not use any more energy at the moment, why would I sit at 51k energy balance instead of 1k energy balance for the next 30 minutes while I conquer this system?

That 100 m+c/sec is a lot that I don't want to be spending since I don't have to.

Ah, I see, you want to disable the low-power warning.

Yes, I don't see the point to the "4,000" over units now when at low-energy as you can't power down units to get energy back any more.

I really made no sense with my initial report did I?

Not really, no. ;)

I got what you were getting at and thought about a few other "always there" items that could be masked. Like the countdown timers on MRS and forts.
