Summary0009297: Ships Ignoring the laws of physics
DescriptionIt would seem that Tackle Drones have found a way to get around the laws of physics as of the change to planetary (and specifically, extra-planetary) movespeeds.

Screen 1: That sure is an awful fast 16 speed... (drones were careening at full rate well past the planetary speed limit)
Screen 2: What is a speed limit? (enemy cruiser unaffected by the enforced speed debuff)

Repro: Load up attached save, haul fleet over to Papa Echo (down and left from home world), ???, profit. Or at least, I hope.

Tackle Drones were changed to not have to accelerate so that may have caused them to ignore the grav-well thing, I can look into that later.

Enemy ships have never been impacted by being outside the grav-well radius, so their frigates ignoring it isn't a bug. Or did you mean something other than the grav-well thing?

Didn't know about the enemy ships thing. But yeah, tackle drones are kinda broken. What's odd is it seems like it's only broken sometimes; i remember remarking to myself that they did grind to a crawl at one point.

It's not broken to fly further than they should, just overly effective ;)

I think in general I need to make tackle drones (regardless of controller) boom on the grav limit.

T'was fun to watch though! Kudos on this idea in general, I'm Lovin It (TM)

For 5.067:

* Tackle drones now automatically self-destruct when at or beyond the outer grav-well ring.

Thanks :)
