Summary0009471: Roaming Überguardian
DescriptionThe devourer golem is fun, but there's only one of him, and there's no way to win against him.

The Überguardian is like a devourer golem on the AI's side, and you can punch it in the face.

The Überguardian is the Terminator to your Kyle Reese, the Agent Smith to your Neo. One day you will have to face it -- but if you see it now, you _run_.

Each Überguardian would be based on an existing guardian type, made golem-sized and with golem-sized stats. They travel randomly between a set of same-mark worlds (so a Mark 3 Überguardian would patrol a group of Mark 3 worlds, only visiting off-mark world en route.) They never voluntarily enter a human-controlled world.

There might be half a dozen Überguardians on a default sized map.

An Überguardian offers a new scouting challenge (where is the monster that patrols the world you're trying to capture? Is it near or far? Moving towards or away?), a more dynamic board state, a source of nailbiting tension, a more personal kind of opponent and an opportunity to make significant and lasting changes to the galaxy (by making it blow up or driving it away.)

For bonus points: Give each Überguardian a randomised selection of modules and a randomised name. The more personality each has, the more 'fun' they can become (in the Dwarf Fortress sense.)

By the endgame, you fleet would be powerful enough not to fear the Überguardians, and you can have the cathartic experience of hunting down the things that terrorised you and smashing them to bits.
