Summary0012878: Customization / Inventory management suggestion
DescriptionAdd a simplified parts display at the bottom of the inventory screen, one item high and the entire width, with horizontal scrolling (perhaps arrow buttons on each side along with a scrollbar). By default it would show all your inventory items. Put three small buttons along side (perhaps small enough to be vertically stacked) for "Inventory", "Archive" and "Store" to switch between those sets of parts (with highlights to indicate which view you're seeing). I would not suggest trying to replicate all functionality of the full screens here, but rather giving you a "quick view" of your available parts and make equipping upgrades much easier.

Clicking (or perhaps right clicking?) on an exo's inventory slot would highlight it (yellow outline?) and filter the bottom pane's view to only show parts that could be installed there. There should be a visual indicator on the bottom that you're seeing a filtered view.

When an exo's inventory slot is selected, when you mouse over a part in the bottom pane it would spawn a popup from the bottom item's location (or perhaps centered on the screen or in a static location, whatever makes sense depending on how much information is displayed) showing a comparison view (similar to how it works with the current functionality -- display the current part and stats [if applicable] on the left with the before/after information and part info on the right). Clicking the exo slot would install the part. If you're in the store "view", it would purchase and install it in one click (perhaps an option in the settings to turn on/off a confirmation dialog).

It'd be nice to do the opposite as well -- selecting (and highlighting) a part in the bottom pane would highlight all applicable slots the part could be installed in, and mousing over the exo slots displays the comparison popup.

The current functionality could be retained if you clicked on an exo slot, and this suggestion would be the functionality when you right click it. Or swap it so this suggestion is the default behavior and shift-clicking a part would drop you in the existing view where you could use filters etc.

The existing Inventory, Archive and Store views should remain as-is, as I would not suggest putting the additional filtering stuff on the Customization screen, nor the archiving/unarchiving and layaway setting of parts.

If this isn't clear enough I can whip up some mockups.
