All I do is press fast-forward and win. By my count, I only have +1 advantage.

Interceptor > Cutter +2
Lancer > Interceptor -1

I think the Lancer,s need to not be flying out by themselves, which I think is what is killing them.

I want to add to this by saying that I tried the same thing with equal ships, and I see the same behavior. What it looks like is, the AI is trying to peel off a squadron and do flanking, irregardless of the type of ship that is squadron.

In the scenario of turtling, the shield and DPS factor is at its highest. The AI needs to perform different behaviors in the case of the turtle, depending on the ship types. A squadron that is the interceptor type should behave differently than something like a lancer.

Long-range ships have very severe consequences right now against the turtle, and I think you need a mechanic that discourages sitting on your heels.

This is still an issue, and it's arguably worse in version .101. The enemy flagship is no longer charging me, but it's suiciding squadron by squadron, making a beeline for my flagship.
