| Description | When text is appearing one character at a time (the first time you visit a new screen, for example), there are a couple of things that cause it to look disconcertingly jerky: * Long words at the end of a line suddenly jump to the next line when enough characters have appeared to trigger wrapping. * Effects (such as coloured text) seem to pause while the markup is read/processed. There's also a brief appearance of something that looks like a cursor or opening square bracket before the next bit of text replaces it. | ||||
