Descriptionthe power distribution is shifting to a different config then the one I set it to after ending my turn.
so when I set weapons system on half and I end the turn it jumps to full or something and shields go down

edit
ok I now see the ship compensate everything automatic.
i thought you had to adjust it manually

im not talking about the auto pull system that works ok but when I set the turn
in motion it changes

This is a recent post from Chris (x4000) on the forums:
"But in terms of fiddling with the power management, it does the bulk of that for you already. There are almost no cases where you would need to fiddle with something per-turn. For instance, if you don't move during a turn, then it automatically redistributes that to your shields and attack power. Etc. So you only need to ever mess with these when you actually want to make larger changes."

Also with full shields, it'll automatically move power to weapon systems as well. The game tries to help you out with unused power.

Its a little weird dont you think.
Because at this point you really dont need to use it at all. They can just remove it.
Not to forget it will be confusing for new players aswell

It's something that will be mentioned to new players in the system.

It doesn't make it so that you don't need to use the system at all -- far from it. It just means you don't need to use it _frequently_, which is the idea.

Consider: If you decided "I'm not going to move this turn, so I'm going to crank up my weapons and my movement all the way down." And then next turn "Now I need to move again, let's put everything back!" how slow that would be.

This keeps you from having to do the obvious stuff that the game can figure out for you. What it doesn't do is help with things like this:

"I'm low on health, so I'm going to crank up my shields for a while at the expense of... hmm, let's see."

"I need to really be able to maneuver around very carefully through this part, so I'm willing to sacrifice... hmm, let's see."

"I am so OP against these guys, I want to get this over quick. Nothing to shields, all to weapons, let's do this thing."

Etc. That's the point of the power system, not moment to moment fiddling.

 This is just an idea but maybe you can make a option to turn the assist on or off
