Summary0013859: Influence hard to to manipulate -- COLLATED FEEDBACK
Description"I also found it hard to find things to influence what I want sometimes. The Peltians felt terrific towards the Andors and Skylaxians but their respective attitudes were hard to influence as I couldn't find ways for the Peltians to get on their good-side more actively. Tech-gifting helped a lot but not from the Peltians as both the Andors and Skylaxians were far more proactive with research. " -- wyvern83

"Speaking of the balancing act, you don't really need to do it, and it is very hard to do.  Influence is slow to gain and very very quick to lose, meaning that instead of balancing, you tend to pick a side and stay there, helping that side win and aiding them every way you can (because the other side will never like you again).  On the other hand, picking a side generally means your side will win overwhelmingly in every situation (please see player OP in combat).  There are also some times I feel more like a wage slave than a master manipulator." -- Malorn

Potentially CONTRADICTORY feedback..?

"-Gaining credits/influence/leverage/voting proxies is too easy, with no risk for a huge reward. Bribes seem almost inconsequential; as you can get an effectively infinite amount of influence by doing dispatches for months and months." -- Orelius

Ok, I realize this is a VERY old version which I did not play, so I may be completely off here, but in regard to:

"-Gaining credits/influence/leverage/voting proxies is too easy, with no risk for a huge reward. Bribes seem almost inconsequential; as you can get an effectively infinite amount of influence by doing dispatches for months and months." -- Orelius

I don't find this to be the case at all. Though you can spend vast amounts of time doing dispatches, it's hardly without risk as the system spirals out of your control with each passing month! :)
