| Description | When choosing to fight a duel against the Burlust, the action description says you will gain about 50 influence. After completing the duel, the results popup claims you have gained about 100 influence. Actual influence gain appears to be about 50. I've fought several duels and this all seems to be reproducible. When outsourcing vaccine research on behalf of the Burlust, the action description said I would gain +15 influence with Burlust and -30 with Thoraxians (they're at war). After completing the vaccine, the results popup said I gained +30 influence with Burlust and -15 with Thoraxians. Actual influence changes seemed to match the second report (+30 Burlust -15 Thoraxians). Note that the behavior is different between these cases: in the first, actual influence gain appears to match the description from BEFORE the action; in the second, actual influence gain appears to match the description from AFTER the action. I've also noticed that the action to gift technology to the Burlust currently claims I will gain +3 influence, as opposed to the +6 influence I've gained every time I've gifted any technology to any other race, but I haven't actually tried giving them a tech since noticing this. | ||||

For the last part: If you're playing the Federation mode and started with the Burlust, all influence gains are halved for things like giving tech. That may be why you're seeing the +3 instead of +6. |

I'll take a look through my saves when I get home tonight, but if you want something sooner, the save I uploaded on issue: 0015847: GUI claims I can't start federation with Skylaxians and Andor when I actually can probably also works for demonstrating the duel part of this issue (I'm still on my first game, so all issues I've reported thus far have occurred at various points in one game). (Incidentally, is there a way for me to put hyperlinks to other issues within notes like this?) |

I don't think this is the exact situation I was in when I started researching the burlust vaccine the first time, but if you load game1-misc.save, you should find that you can begin outsourcing research for a vaccine for the burlust, and the action description predicts you will gain +15 influence. If you do the research, when it completes you should find you actually gain +30 influence. |

And just in case you have trouble reproducing the duel thing with the other saves, I've just reproduced it as the very first thing I did after loading game1-trd boost tst.save |

For 1.603: * Fixed a bug in the newer (and default) summary-mode display of influence changes in the post-combat window, where it would add some entries more than once, making it claim a bigger change than actually occurred. Thanks :) |
