| Description | The description for the vaccine research action says that it takes "10 solar months"; no duration is given in relative time, but based on conversions shown elsewhere in the game I believe that should be equal to 3m 20s relative time. In actuality, it takes noticeably longer than that. In the attached screenshot, you can see an event for the Boarines contracting Maggot Pox about halfway down my log (5m 40s ago--17 solar months, I believe). I started researching a vaccine shortly after that event appeared, and it has only just completed. Furthermore, when it completed, the completion event was tagged with the Acutians rather than the Boarines (top of the log in the screenshot). I hasten to add that the Acutians are robots and are not even eligible to learn the Maggot Pox vaccine. | ||||

Do you have a savegame with that in progress? On the timing thing, I'm not sure. On the wrong-race-at-end thing, that is fixed for the next version based on another report. |

game1-boar medi.save is a save file with the above-described vaccine research already in progress vaccine test.save may also be useful; in it, the Andor have a disease, and I have recently acquired a science outpost, but I haven't started the vaccine research yet. If you start the research and then start a long dispatch mission, you should find it takes a little over 5 minutes relative time to complete. |

I just tested the one with the andors and it took the proper number of months (it said 4, and I think it took maybe 4 and a half, since it didn't start counting until the start of the next month or something like that) and it named the Andor instead of someone else because of a bug already fixed for 1.603. If you see this again in 1.603 or later please let us know :) Preferably with a save from before starting the outsourced-research, where doing so takes more than a month longer than advertised. |
