Summary0016042: Obscura Discs too common
DescriptionOkay, this I've noticed by playing it myself, but also watching other players encounter these as well. The Discs arent all that much more difficult than the other Obscura when attacked from behind, through the road they make, but if there's more than one Disc at a time, they tend to cluster together, and basically create impenetrable fields of doom around each other with the red road shots. Those do incredible damage per bullet even on Normal if you should crash into them, so the player cant really just force their way in. It's also a problem if you are actually attacking one of them properly, but then the other one randomly turns and comes at you with the purple death waves in front; there's nothing you can really do from inside the road, and the purple waves are meant to be avoided at all costs; the player cant dodge this at all usually, and is forced to either use an ability, withdraw, or likely die if the purple death bolts get fully onto them.

My suggestion is one of two things: 1, put a cap on how many Discs can appear in battle at any one time. Just one of them at a time is enough to cause some definite trouble, so having only one at a time may be a good idea. Their HP could always be increased a bit to make up for this, but I dont think that's really necessary. Or 2, increase the chances of the other ships appearing. Some of the ships dont seem to appear at all in the early game, which makes sense for the bosses, but for the others it makes it kinda feel like you're fighting the same 3 or so ships over and over. Having everything except the bosses be available from the start would keep silly numbers of any one ship from appearing, and also just add more variety. And the missing ones arent really any harder than the ones that always appear at the start.

For 2.007:

* Obscura discs now have a "seed at most one per combat" rule similar to the one used for bosses (you can still have one boss and one disc in the same combat).

Thanks :)
