Summary0016079: [Betrayal] 4 Bugs Planet Outposts Pirates and Your own hostile armada (and other stuff)
DescriptionMilitary Outposts can still only be destroyed(you can only destroy them but somtimes your minions cap them for you). Also why limited to build just one?
(i can still steal more outposts).

A race has more population than the Equilibrium population limit (the burlust in my case).

Pirate Fleets are still spawning without a piratebase (even from completely killed races(no planet,no pirate bases)).
I was attacking a piratebases but never saw any other race helping me(they are still thankful) so why do i need other races than i order to kill pirates?

You can surprise attack your own armada. They are than hostile which is not a surprise. They are also hostile to you if you try to smuggle in resistance fighters while attacking a planet (my hostile armadas uses parasites(ship-typ) but i havent unlocked them yet).

You can also help a other race defending from your own ground invasion(because you cant recall them back?). Also is there a invasions cap? because it seem limited to 34-35m or are they dying to fast? or they are not building Personnel Transporters fast enough? also they are disappearing after invasion.

Please limit reports to one per issue -- otherwise we can't mark things complete without fixing every last thing in the issue at a given time. To your things:

"Military Outposts can still only be destroyed(you can only destroy them but somtimes your minions cap them for you). Also why limited to build just one?
(i can still steal more outposts)."

Working as intended. They go down with the ship!

"Pirate Fleets are still spawning without a piratebase (even from completely killed races(no planet,no pirate bases))."

These are likely from the planets themselves, such as smugglers and similar. I highly doubt it's a bug.

"I was attacking a piratebases but never saw any other race helping me(they are still thankful) so why do i need other races than i order to kill pirates?"

Sounds like a minor bug.

"You can surprise attack your own armada. They are than hostile which is not a surprise. They are also hostile to you if you try to smuggle in resistance fighters while attacking a planet (my hostile armadas uses parasites(ship-typ) but i havent unlocked them yet)."

Sounds like another minor thing, since the obvious thing is just not to do that to your own armadas. ;)

"You can also help a other race defending from your own ground invasion(because you cant recall them back?)."

Eh, I don't really see this one as being a problem. It's not something you would really want to do most times, but it is possible that many races are attacking a planet at once, not just you. If you were just trying to weaken a race, not flip the planet, then calling off your guys and then helping defend while at the same time your last guys are there, seems like an option it would hurt to lose.

"Also is there a invasions cap? because it seem limited to 34-35m or are they dying to fast? or they are not building Personnel Transporters fast enough? also they are disappearing after invasion."

There's a throughput based on how many armadas you have there and a few other factors. For yourself, personnel transports are created on demand. Your guys are just fighting and dying is all, so all is well.

ok im sorry
i will limit my reports to one per issue in future

but two thing are still not clear to me:

why im limited to one outpost per type?

why can a planet host more population than the Equilibrium population limit?

No problem.

In terms of outposts per type, I believe I put that rule in there to keep it from being a case where you could just absolutely steamroll the AI by putting up tons of outposts. The AI is programmed specifically to go easy on your outposts, so letting you have too many would be a big exploit for the player side. Alternatively, I could have the AI turn more aggressive, but then it would be inexplicable to players when their stuff suddenly gets attacked, and not only that, it would be pretty frustrating trying to constantly defend them (hence the original go-easy-on-them rules in the first place).

Regarding equilibrium population, think of that as being the ideal population density. It's not a population cap. After you reach or pass equilibrium, then one of a couple things happens on a planet:

1. Internal civil war on the planet, causing population to drop dramatically until about half of the population is left, or something along those lines (there are many variables that can affect that).

2. Population stabilizes at equilibrium, and there are not many more births than are needed to maintain that healthy population.

3. Race becomes warlike and expansionary from the population pressure and thus the need to have more land to comfortably support the population that they have.

In other words, perhaps the early ideally supports 5 billion people, or maybe the number is 6, I don't know. But if we have 9 billion people it's not like anything is going to stop us from doing that. However, things will go badly, either with internal wars over resources, or our need to expand to Mars, or whatever. Alternatively, we might invent super crops or other things that make our equilibrium population effectively higher; we might even just learn to accept a different standard of living. Those things are also represented in the game with some technologies.
