| Summary | 0016176: Can place camps far away from lander | ||||
| Description | The camp tooltip implies that the camps can only be placed near the lander, but I've been hopscotching camps a long way from the lander, and I just noticed that some tiles have a green building looking icon when the camp is selected. If this is supposed to indicate where camps can be placed, they are inaccurate. If the represent something else, I can't figure out what. There is a screenshot and save attached. | ||||

I highly doubt there is a bug here, I think this is a communication issue of the game being unclear. The placement for hopscotching is absolutely correct. The green placement validity locations are also correct. But camps can't be placed too close to one another, so when you place one camp that removes a bunch of the other green placement icons. The note about having to be close to the lander is accurate, in a sense, because you can't go way the heck off on the map and you can't cross water. But it actually HAS to be checkerboarded, you can't do the regular adjacency thing. Thoughts on how to make this clearer are super super welcome because I can see why that is confusing as heck! |

I guess it would be nice if all valid camp placements were highlighted. If that's what the little green icon represents, then it rarely showed where they could be placed. Most of the camps I placed did not go on a green icon. Also, I was able to hopscotch them across water, as long as it was a small channel. |
