Summary0017996: Upgrades should feel like they have impact
DescriptionSo far, upgrades don't seem to do much or be needed. I understand it may not have been a focus, but I just want to highlight this. +10% range/damage just isn't going to be felt. Give me an extra hitpoint, or a large, fixed amount of damage/range, so I can feel the upgrade.

I definitely agree with this and have thought so for some time now. The percentages given by many items are just way too low, so they just dont really have any impact. It's not really a problem just with specific items but moreso in an overall sense.

Range upgrades are always going to be small since they have a very high impact on the difficulty of the game, but as far as increasing damage/health is concerned, that's something I've been very careful about until there's solid ground we're standing on in terms of game difficulty per floor. Sadly increasing flat damage won't really work here either unless it's specifically for the player's primary weapon since it'll mess with the equipped ones.

Since every mob is bunched into the same floor right now and they aren't gaining noticeable health/damage as floor level increases, increasing the numbers on the power-ups is just going to make the game feel really easy.
