Summary0002033: Force calculation includes unbuilt structures (like superfortresses)
DescriptionThe force calculation for a given human system includes unbuilt superfortresses (and possibly other structures) as though they were completed. This results in sizable AI forces waiting at entrance wormhomles when they should be moving forward, among other things. See Garbu and the adjacent Mk IV world in the included save for an example.

Fortresses have a way overblown firepower rating too if I recall. It needs to be much less.

That's true, the firepower ratings for fortresses are way out of hand as well. Superfortresses are in the 8600 range, which seems crazy.

Superfortresses are one of the most awesome things in the game, but even 8600 seems like too much for them.

BTW, what is the current formula for firepower?

Very cool on the core issue here. As for the firepower calculations, I'm short on time and that's something we're still fiddling with at the moment. The new thing implemented:

* Firepower for under-construction units is now considered to be zero, for display and AI purposes.
