Summary0021130: GUI suggestions regarding fleet tab in relation to removal of the old ships tab
DescriptionSo now that the universal ships tab is gone, I've been running into issues that the old ships tab "solved" (not very well but still) that are now bigger issues again due to the lack of it. Even though fleets are meant to stick to the centerpiece, it's still possible for ships to get either left in other systems for various reasons or intentionally sent over to an adjacent system to be used without the centerpiece. This issue is there's no way to see where said units are until I select the entire fleet and send them over to one place. There are various reasons you'd not want to do that all the time including but not limited to strange bugs causing some units to not follow overmap orders sometimes (I can't get a save where this consistently happens) and preventing units from dying on the way back.

This is an even bigger issue with battlestations and citadels because the turrets are immobile and have a strict cap that's very important if you wanna build turrets when the cap is full. I have to go searching planets for the turrets but said are no longer highlighted and it becomes tedious to look for said missing turrets when you wanna scrap them so that you can build new ones elsewhere.

I think it would be good if the fleets tab's fleets were all drop down or expanding menus that showed under them something similar to the local tab's grid ship list. So basically each fleet would be a drop down menu under the already existing category drop down menus that when clicked, would expand to show the ship icons laid out in a grid the exact same way the local tab does. When you select a fleet's unit type in it, the galaxy map should highlight all planets where units of said type are located along with numbers sitting beside the planets to show how many of them are located there. It should still display units that currently don't exist but are part of a centerpiece's unit cap as greyed out due to having 0 of them and should display on the corners of their rounded boxes the number of them that exist out of the cap. I understand these things can be already seen in tooltips but it's much easier to have it always ready on display when you're micromanaging a fleet's units for complex tactics.

I do plan on making more ways to find your ships, but I am a bit confused about the idea of a universal ships tab ever having been there. That's never been a thing, it's always been only at your current planet. So what you're proposing is new, but I think is needed.
