Summary0000222: Blade Spawner
Descriptionan ship that spawns tiny blades, that move towards the Ai and run them down they cant use worm holes as they are an ammo type not an ship but they act like them and they cant be selected. this ship primary role is to spend it time far away from the enemy and spaming it tiny blades to go towards the AI ships and damage them once the ship hit the Ai it takes heavy damage and the blades go into the ship causing little damage Over time and multiple blades can be sent into the ai ship hull. what i think would happen is there be so many blades at the worm holes that when ai send unit they get replenish after each wave to the same amount as the blade that where created while the ai was still alive. these unit will be use as a defense unit that stays at planets where these blades have spawn. these unit get really over powered when on planets where Ai have little ship continually passing through thus the player can use this as an exploit to increase there defense.

Wouldn't that circumvent one of the points of the shipcap system?

Not sure exactly what you mean, but in my implementation -- no. These blades only live for 10 seconds, and get spawned every 1 second. That means that -- per spawner -- there are only 9 or 19 active at a time at any given time.

I like this ship idea, it squarely falls into the hole we'd been trying to fill of a Damage Over Time ammo type/ship.
