DescriptionBackground/Problem:
In my current campaign with a team of 3 marauders, I'm noticing how powerful marauder carriers are in general and how this degrades permformance--they can easily get 3K+ drones active on a single planet.

Moreover, the AI seems to priortize drones over the carriers, the Maraduers have been overrunning the AI without reprucssions.

Proposals:
1) AI needs to send *much* larger waves against marauder teams--the waves they send are like 30 strength compared to the marauders 600+ strength
2) Increase the priority of the carriers proportional to the drones--the AI should ignore drones when carriers are the real enemy
3) reduce the spawn rate of drones--they just keep coming back!

When you complain about the drones, you do mean the drones spawned by raiders, not the drones created by outposts, right?

One simple mechanism for reducing the number of spawner raiders is to define a new raider ship type that's not a spawner. At the moment the game chooses at random between the available raider types. So if more are added then it will decrease the number of spawner raiders.

i meant the carriers specifically; but my complaint potentially applies to both--I never feel that I can make a dent on the drones themselves

On that note, the Bug Trouble quick start has a related performance problem. The AI type there is Swarmer, so every outpost send drones when hostiles are around. This causes problem because with Macrophages intensity 10 the performance very very quickly tank and keep worsening at the game goes on.

For all factions, if there are no enemies then the drones will fly back into their flagship. This includes drones from marauder raiders, marauder outposts, swarmer guard posts, player hive golem, etc...
