Summary | 0023598: melee ships rubberbanding upon loading | ||||
Description | I haven't played since the new version came out, so I marked it as 2.127 just to be sure. Anyway, upon loading ships back into the flagship, the melee ships and ONLY the melee ships do this strange rubberband type movement where they go forward and backward as they try to get back to their flagship. They'll get there eventually, it just takes them longer. They behave normally in every other instance except when loading, and as I said, I have yet to notice any non-melee ships doing this. I don't have a save at the moment but if need be I can provide one later. | ||||

A save to reproduce this would be helpful, of the form "Go to murdoch, select the flagships, hit L" |

Noticed this as well once, but I don't have a save for it. |

Here it is. There's an isolated fleet on the planet Tsunami right below the main force above it. This particular fleet has autobombs as well as a few other ship types. |

Keith, feel free to punt this to me. But it probably is yet another side effect from the (very excellent) new work on melee units. Basically they need to abandon that attack-move (or any other) behavior while they are in load into transport mode. |

According to the patch, this was supposedly fixed? I still see it happening though. |

Other melee ship changes were made, I don't know that this was was fixed |

For 2.512: * Fixed a bug where melee units given a load-into-transport order would keep trying to go back to their remembered melee anchor spot. Thanks :) |
