Summary0023902: “A Twisted Enemy” QuickStart has the AI scourge set to “Super Strong”
Description“Super Strong” is not balanced for a regular game and players may be getting stomped.

Don’t have a screenshot. Loading the QuickStart should be enough proof.

This setting was apparently created in July. This Quickstart predates that by several months (last modification was start of the year), and the setting is set to "Disabled" by default.

How odd.

There's another Quickstart with Scourge, "A Scourge Upon All". May also have this.

Thanks!

* The "A Twisted Enemy" quickstart has been replaced with a version that no longer has “Super Strong” accidentally enabled on it.

If you turn on some debug logging you would see that the factions were not set to extra strong mode. However, no harm in doing this.

If we load these into the lobby, however, then they do go into extra strong mode. Or at least that's what the interface lies and says is on.

I'm not sure if this is an interface glitch in the lobby (which I would then need to fix), or an issue with some sort of defaults coming over when it is loaded into the lobby. Did you happen to figure out which that might be when you did that logging?

I just know when you start a game, it doesn't have super strong mode on.

In general though, adding new externaldata on a faction seems to cause wierdnesses with older quicksaves.

That makes sense. For each of those, I think that they have some sort of default, but it's possible that the defaults are not being set properly when it's an older quicksave.
