This is already in the game. Alt-right click on the galaxy map and pick alternate view. Select your custom view. You can now shift-drag planets around. You can alt-right click to return to the original view. In multi-player, you can even switch to the custom view of other players. I don't believe alt-right click will let you switch to alternate galaxy view if you have units selected when you open the galaxy map. |
