Description | A capturable immobile/mobile but wormhole-immune unit that allows construction of mkII turrets for its planet. The concept for this unit is something that is similar to fabricators and ARSes in both supplying substantial firepower and, for newer players, providing a preview to the efficacy less commonly used units. By focusing on defensive units, this constructor is unique in that it makes a planet more attractive to being a whipping boy planet. Giving a full cap of mkII turrets is most likely overkill, so some way to limit the amount might be ideal. This unit should never generate on dead-ends, and perhaps for flavor should tend to generate on planets with lots of wormholes. This unit might also let you construct Support units that normally need to be unlocked -- Advanced Warp Sensor would be a shoe-in, Harvester Exo-Shields might be thematic, and Zenith Spacetime Manipulator might be appropriate. Other units like Force Field Generators, one mark of the Fortresses, and the Area/EMP Minefields might also be good candidates, but shouldn't be constructable to the full cap. | ||||
