| Description | I'm sure you guys know, but there's been a thread running the last few days on the AI War forum where some players have been talking about building a bonus ship guide. < http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,9664.0.html >. It seems to me that the player strategy Wiki (which seems to be gone; maybe I'm an idiot and just can't find it) would be the right venue for this, and I wonder if it would be a big problem to bring it back? Of course based on half a dozen forum posts I can't guarantee we'll stick to the project long enough to finish it, but if it worked out even fairly terse descriptions and advice would be a really valuable resource for new players --- and, to be honest, for players like me who have done 5 - 10 games but never figured out quite how to use half the bonus ships we've had a chance to play with. If it would take serious work to restore that Wiki, I think we could probably start assembling a guide somewhere else, but if it's simple it would be a cool thing to try to do. | ||||

Anyone who wants a main wiki account can pm me with their email address. The player wiki went largely unused and fill up with thousands of pages of spam. Hence us just dropping down to one wiki that is invite-only. But we do have a dozen or so players already hat contribute to the main wiki from time to time, and we'd love to have more. |

There isn't really anything actionable on our part with this one. That said, I'm not sure it's worth closing just yet, as having players add to the wiki is a good thing IMO, and I'm hoping more folks see this. :) I'm busy enough with AVWW sutff, including the wiki, that I have zero time for this right now, so I second what Chris said about loving to have more contributors with that. |

I'm trying to keep the editing somewhat coordinated, if someone has a better way to do so please post it. Can I suggest putting a link to this on the new Ship Strategy Discussion thread? There are a few people there who seem interested in contributing to it and I suspect very few people are looking at this ticket. |
