Summary0005946: Health bar working oddly
DescriptionI seem to have a full health bar, but it shows 263 on the health indicator, which is odd. I'm standing right by some health drops in the save attached, which are not healing me. Is this because of something which was changed as part of the switch from vitality to upgrade stones?

Yeah I have this error as well, my health bar says 432, and I have no idea what it's referring to, which is an issue even if it's technically correct somehow.

From the changelog:

The "toughness" stat has been removed from the game, and just folded into the health stat. This is a lot clearer than having two stats to mean the same thing.

As part of this, the health is no longer shown as a percentage throughout the UI -- the number scale is the same, so it's all small numbers, but the actual health values are showing a combination of what was toughness and what was the health percentage.
If that sounds confusing, it's because it was. The bottom line is that the new way of doing things is equivalent to the old without the confusing bits of the UI.

So when I get damaged and see -4.3%, what is that 4.3 percent of? My total health? My total health pre-upgrades? Or the total health of an average character? Honestly I'd suggest entirely removing the four-digit health number from UI and using a consistent three-figure HP system for all display. I wouldn't mind if it the decimals were rounded to whole numbers either.

Where do you see -4.3%? When I get hurt, all I see is -4.3.

Oh gosh maybe I'm just remembering it from prior versions. So is it just 4.3 off the number in the green circle? That sounds perfect.

Assuming we are fine with this, The game should probably stop telling you your "actual" health on mousing over the health bar, it seems like the only place left it's displayed.

Thanks!

* Fixed the display of the health bar tooltip to show the actual health values on the same scale that the rest of the game now uses, rather than using the underlying numbers (which are used for mathematical purposes only, and correlate to the visble numbers, but have no place being seen by players as they are confusing and irrelevant).
