Did it say it had a reward before you started it? This is entirely valid to happen if you've not unlocked any rare commodities for that area and you've not got any guardian powers. |

No, It didn't claim to have a reward As it was a Desert region surely at the bare minimum it should have Welkin Gel, additionally i had just unlocked Earth Essence (which is what i was there looking for) |

Okay, this solves it, but not for pre-existing missions: * Welkin Gel, Charred Amber, and Magma can now be found right from tier 1 onward. There were simply no mission rewards that were valid, and with earth essence it would have to have genned the mission after the earth essence was unlocked for that to be there. Thanks! |
