| Description | I'm not sure if this is deliberate, but I seem to have far fewer blue consciousness shards than any other colour, and I don't recall ever finding blue shards in stashes or randomly lying around on the ground. I have 3k-5k of each shard colour, except yellow (1280) and blue (633). I've been unable to afford the cost in blue shard of building stuff in my settlement more than once. While I have a fairly low collection of yellow shards, I've never needed more than I've had and I've definitely picked yellow shards up off the ground. | ||||

I think this varies depending on region (although I don't know if that's documented in game anywhere) and blue is more likely to be found in ice age regions. Possibly others, but I don't know for sure. Is it possible you haven't been exploring many of those recently? I ran into this same problem on my second continent. My initial area covered by the settlement anti-wind effect only included one ice region, so I hardly ever went there. |

I've been wandering through ice and ocean regions quite a lot, actually. Almost all my blue shards come from killing bosses. I think the rest are from monster nests or something. |

Solved by letting you know where to find these: * The game now has a full and color-coded reference of which regions have which consciousness shards and which gem types. You can see the high-chance and low-chance regions that have each of these by looking in the material compendium for each type of ingredient in question. |
