Summary0007718: Settlement - Monuments to greatness
DescriptionMaybe its been suggested before, but something honoring the accomplishment of significant Glyphbearers when their time inevitably comes.

There can potentially be various levels of accomplishments, but even the lowest level of it should be something significant. (After all, we don't want to get spammed by statues in the settlements.)

Basically, it could be a statue with the character depicted on it (Or just a plaque at the lowest level). Walking up to it and 'using' it could display some kind of statistics, like number of enemies dispatched, missions completed, overlords defeated, stuff like that.

Perhaps the character can be given a title based on his particular accomplishments. (I.E. 'The savior of <World name> for defeating 5 or more Overlords, 'Bane of Chiroptera' for defeating TONS of bats, 'Tamer of elements' for defeating a lot of all the various espers, etc.). These should be tied to particular characters, and not necessarily the player, however, the players name should be displayed in the information it gives (For multiplayer purposes.). Maybe even a randomized epitaph for good measure.

Another thing is that the requirements for being eligible for a monument should, in my opinion, not be known to the player base. ;) It shouldn't be a quantifiable number or deed that people strive for, and more along the lines of 'If a character has a long and amazing career as an (Active) glyphbearer, their accomplishments won't be forgotten'.

Death is a certainty, but your deeds in life determine if you're remembered in the future. Not exactly a quick implementation, but something that could eventually be added.

Couple of thoughts:-

Firstly, I'd suggest the monument only goes up once your vengeful ghost is killed (or you die if a robot). The reason for this is to make it so you can only get one monument per character. If you earn multiple titles, they all go on the monument, though "better" ones of the same kind supersede lesser ones. When you unlock one, you'd get a message in the chat window saying you're eligible for the title, but nothing else until the vengeful ghost's death. (This would require fixing vengeful ghosts so they show up elsewhere - maybe the mission's entrance - if spawned in a mission area, though.)

As for the requirements being unknowable, I'd suggest making it so they're known-but-not-clear; I'd suggest just making the titles known, and not revealing the requirements. However, I'd want to avoid Tons Of Enemy monuments anyway; I'd prefer them for demonstrations of skill rather than ability to grind. (For instance, you could have a monument for killing all 3 lieutenants without visting any non-outpost tiles inbetween. (Yes, this would mean you can't go back to your settlement to heal either.)
