| Description | The lightning turret seems to be unaffected by the 5-to-1 merge of turrets and doesn't get a damage boost for lower ship caps either, 800 damage is a joke when fighters and bombers have over 100k HP at MkI and frigates are completely immune. | ||||

well, they arent meant to be powerful against the triangle ships, but with the advent of armor, im not sure what they are powerful against - even most neinzul ships seem to have enough armor to render them useless... |

Lightning turrets are very good against deflectors and similar ships. |

They're actually really effective against low hp raider style ships, and if their base damage was increased it would be overkill. I think they could use maybe a 2x bonus to light or swarmer personally, and lose their artillery bonus since it's pretty useless. edit: also lancefighter these things have pretty brutal armor piercing. |

Yea, this report's been here for a while, we just had forgotten to mark it resolved when we gave all "major-electric" weapons nearly infinite armor piercing. |
