Summary | 0010129: Vertical Boss AI
Description | If you are below a boss on a platform, it does very tight left-right turns trying to stay immediately on top of you. With this behavior, if you can kite a boss onto a platform you can hang out underneath and attack upward w/ a melee attack (I used the entropy punch) to hit the boss, and it will never come down. I like that the melee attacks can go through walls, as it gives a nice tactical option in tight scenarios (so, if that's an unintentional clipping exploit, I'd be sad to see it fixed), but if the AI could be tweaked to have the boss walk more to the left and right so that he'd eventually fall off the platform, then that would remedy the kiting exploit. I don't think that "punch through the floor" would be too exploitive if you could only get one or two hits on the boss before it jumped off the ledge and came after you.
