Summary | 0010168: "Defensive Hybrids are mobilizing" doesn't seem to do anything
Description | The title. I sort of know what it is supposed to do (tell some of the excess hybrids on defense missions to go out and do stuff), but it doesn't seem to be working. I don't see any sort of change in behavior when this alert pops up.

Don't have a save at the moment, so right now, this is only anecdotal evidence. |

Cross posting Alright. I have a save with "Defensive hybrids are mobilizing". Wait until the exo hits (it is a 99% in the save), and around that time the "defensive hybrids are mobilizing" should come up, and, at least on the planets I have vision on, nothing seems to change with the hybrids. This game has its origins in an older version of AI war, which is why I have past a cap of starships. ;) (BTW, I did ultimately win this game) Also, I apologize for the ultra low performance profile. I had that on to "fast forward" as fast a possible. You can turn it back up to saner values after loading. |

I see this phenomenon all the time, but I've usually assumed that the numbers of hybrids are too low to actually do anything in the code <- hybrids are routinely culled in my games, such that 96% of the time there are <5 hybrids in the galaxy. Needless to say, never seen an advanced hybrid... :P EDIT: In other words, I've always assumed that their self-preservation code (at low numbers) overrides the mobilisation order. I remember seeing hybrids attacking with exos once or twice when the alert came on, but that was before I started the practice of herd culling. |

For 6.022: * In honor of it coming third in the "bug of the year" poll, we fixed the "Defensive Hybrids are Mobilizing" condition appearing to do nothing. It was actually working as intended in our tests, but since you wanted it to do more, well, it does more now. Thanks :) |
