Summary | 0010174: Running across slowing BG in overworld. | ||||
Description | Normally as you run across "slowing BG" objects, you slow noticeably. In the overworld, however, the smoothness of the run seems to studder or skip a frame at times, while not having any slowing effect visually at other times. We might want to impose the same level of slowing as within levels, as a straight value instead of a percentage of your current speed. I've attached an image of the inside of a house where the effect is apparent. | ||||

* Since the player moves twice as fast on the overworld as they do in regular levels, the game now causes slowing objects to slow them twice as much on the overworld, thus keeping the slowing objects at all relevant in the overworld. |
