Summary | 0010404: Character creation and font at class selection
Description | As there are ony 3 stats + image + name that are rolled at the character creation and the stats are fixed dependent on each other, why not give the player the choice to create his preferd setup. Slidebars for example. As it is it is just a matter of patience to roll the preffered skill setup. I can barely read the font at the class selection. The problem is that the bottom half of the letters fade into the background color witch makes it hard to read. I am not sure if the coloring is also a bit problematic. Greetings crimer

As far as the font goes, there really should be an option to toggle between a serif and sans serif font from an accessibility standpoint. Some people cannot read one type and must often switch to another. Many games often have a "high resolution font" option, that just makes the font bigger, bold, and changes from the game default pretty font to a sans font. That and the font and background color contrast issue is rather problematic for many. Why not do what the old Final Fantasies did and put in a R / G / B slider to customize the background color of the dialog boxes. The default blue of those games always made the white text hard to read for me, so I was always able to change it to dark grey. Perhaps the game should move to solid white text and customization of box colors. |
