Summary0011122: Minor path-finding problems when a city is fist created
DescriptionI created a second greek city in the first attached save behind a mountain tile, and created one Podromos cavalry for that city with no access to anywhere else. He's stuck, of course.

A couple of turns later I connected this city to the rest of the island, but he has never moved since despite a ruin nearby.

I was hoping also that a trader I build would find a long path around the mountain range to get more trade points, but he doesn't move either. It's only until I connected the towns (second save) that he figures out what needs to be done.

EDIT: this is at the greek barracks east, two tiles to the right of the ruins.

They have a sight range, and so won't go for ruins not in their range. Hence the podromos not moving.

As for the trader, it sounds like he did not have a valid route to another trade depot of his actual faction? If there was a route, I'd want a save for that one. But the podromos behavior sounds correct.

test3.save has a valid single-tile path around the side of the mountain ranges, through some hills, a forest, and in *inhabited forest tile.

In test3, what I am seeing in the latest version of the game is that the podromos isn't moving because he is still completely blocked in. A barracks unit spawns every turn, or moves every turn, so he never has an opening to go anywhere. Same with the trader.

That said, the other problem with the trader in the new version of the game is that he can't go past military buildings anyhow.
