Description | The PG's radar signature is so hard to interpret that enemy targeting computers have to use their whole processing power to lock onto it. When a volley-based weapon is fired at a prismatic gunship the entire volley must be fired at that gunship, regardless of overkill. Projectiles cannot retarget if they have been fired at a PG and the target dies. The prismatism does not alter the way a weapon like a beam or AOE hits multiple targets. Stat-wise the PG has a cap on par with triangle ships (or potentially higher) and is a glass cannon, i.e. pretty high DPS (potentially bonuses against massive targets) but low HP. Its role would be to counteract massive volley-based attacks from e.g. fortresses while it would be rather weak against normal fleetship forces. Instead of high DPS it could also be made to extend its effect to allied units so a bunch of PGs could be used to shield armies from massive weapons while the army deals the actual damage. | ||||
