| Description | I realize that there are a few other similar reports, but since none solely focus on the aspect of being able to **rename** Towns/Units or discuss my specific reasoning for why I think it'd be a good move I thought I'd start a new one. I would seriously consider this because I think it would increase the game's success when it comes to being Let's Played or Let's Players enjoying it. For example, I've watched a few X-Com Let's Plays that pretty much revolve around Youtube commenters saying "give me a soldier name plox" and the Let's Player saying later "ohhh nasty, Bumblemaestro12 just got turned inside out by a Chrysalid, sorry dude". The simple ability to rename characters in the game might help to create a similar Let's Play environment that can allow a nice back and forth between Let's Players and commenters -- which isn't going to harm the viral potential of SC at all. Maybe the effect won't be as pronounced as in a game like X-com because your dudes don't hang around as long as the X-com soldiers, but if it is a simple piece of programming then it might be worth it. | ||||
