Summary | 0011881: Galaxy Map Unit Management
Description | Currently, it is very difficult to manage units across the galaxy. If they are limited to one planet, its pretty easy. However, when you have 20-30 planets, building a few sniper turrets (or rather removing them from every planet to free up cap) or finding where your engineers are.... Well, Its not fun, and it is time consuming and micro-intensive. Sure, some functions exist to simplify it some, but it is still rather impractical. -Filters *Display Hotkey bound to them inside the dropdown menu >So I don't have to manually look them up in the Controls section *Highlight selected one, and have the dropdown appear where it was when you last dropped it >So if I am cycling down the list, so as to check the list of newly scouted planets for... ARS, ADV FAC, FAB, EXP FAB, STAR FAB, ASTEROID A, ASTEROID B.... Its just faster if you can do a two click combo to go down one.. >>Oh, and a hotkey to move up or down one on that menu, but that is a minor concern. *Disable filters that cannot apply. >I don't care about Asteroids when I dont even have spirecraft enabled. It is clutter, plain and simple. *Add Control group Filters, 0-9 > I care about my entire spire fleet, not just the frigates (even if they tend to die and get lost the most) -Mobilization > The Option that lets you find all Raid starships you own, and move them all to Murdoch *Make it works like filters. Let me type turret to filter out everything not CONTAINING turret. Saves so much time. *When selected. allow several new options **Select >By Default, effect all of the matching units. You can Mod-click on a planet to select that planet only, as well as any other planets you then click. That way, I can order all the ships in one area of the galaxy to head to a particular planet, but not effect any already defending a planet. Or similar **Spread >>With the group selected to Mobilize, Mod-click on several planets, then click a confirm button. It will then evenly (using L split logic) split ships between the chosen planets >>> Can click a planet twice to have it pass a second time. >>> It will allocate them in the clicked order. The second time for double-clicked planets will be added in inverse order, to the end, to avoid front bias. **Scrap >> I want to scrap all the Heavy Beam turrets in the galaxy, since they are my Semi-Mobile Turret Defense force. (Gotta love T4 Firepower/cost) **Add/remove Control Group >> Add or remove units from whatever control group number you indicated. So If I need to add all Turrets in the galaxy to control group 6 (So I can tell them to fire upon astrotrains, or high priority targers, with a quick key combo and a click)
