Summary0011883: Control Reservation Scheme
DescriptionThis Idea is to allow Fleets (Control Groups) to be easier to maintain. Instead of having to count & Calculate missing units, or limit fleets to contain all of a set of unit types (Usually factory bound, unless you place a ton of extra factories), this would make it possible to setup smaller fleets, which will automatically replenish themselves. Without automatic limiters to turn off the factories, or else you manually entering unit counts, your two sub-fleets would alter sizes. Generally, I end up just faking it with the L key, but that doesn't work with Factories, and requires all fleets merge on one planet and get sorted.

Anyhow. The actual suggestion.

-Factories can be set to Maintanance mode, in place of single or repeat. (need better name)
This mode will work to maintain a set number of units in whatever domain it applies to.
It will continue building, along with any other factory in the same domain, until that domain contains all the units contained in all of the factory's queues.

-If in a control group, that whole control group, galaxy wide, is it's domain.
*It will, if setup correctly, automatically replenish your assult fleet, and rally them to a pickup point for afterwards.

-If not, it only looks at the local planet.
*Intended for Garrisons. Hold back 50% of your cap of bombers.
(Won't work if you rally it elsewhere.I would say use rally planet in that case instead, but you have to somehow count all units in route, which is probably difficult)


~This is an Fragment of an Old Idea I had a while back. It was way too ambitious, and most of it was unnecessary. However, this is far simpler, and even then, only part of the new suggestion.
