More like a limited Engagement range. Essentially, move only so far from your anchor point/group to engage. As a note, I am pretty sure the 80k range is the size of a planet map before speed decays. not the distance from the anchor itself. |

Ah! I see what you're saying about the 80k - my blindspot :-/. Yes. A limited engagement range. I'm guessing an interface element similar to the old arc tool could define to define it as a direct order would work, but may be cumbersome in use. However it were defined it would count as a unit level order, thus satisfying the ai's historical agnosticism :). |
