| Description | Exo customization should have some indicator of whether a weapon is projectile or energy, there is currently no way to tell except by guessing, or finding a part that will only fit in one weapon type or another. The most obvious way to do this would be to put it in the weapon's hover text, where area-of-effect is already listed. Maybe another field that says something like "Item type(s): Projectile Weapon, Area of Effect" (for a weapon like the Grenade Launcher). Maybe there should be an option checkbox which, when checked, will cause abbreviated type information to be appended to each weapon's name. So "Laser Rifle" would become "Laser Rifle (EW)" and "Grenade Launcher" would become "Grenade Launcher (PW, AoE)". The item type(s) in the hover text would hopefully be sufficient to clue users in about the meaning of these abbreviations. (The reason you want to use abbreviations at all is to save space in the UI, which is getting a bit cramped at low resolutions.) | ||||

For 0.930: * The mouseover tooltips on the weapons on the customization screen now list their special categories (Energy Weapons, Projectile Weapons, Area-of-Effect Weapons), if any. Thanks :) |
